Hi, there!
My name is Jill Cooke and I write stories for young children.
I write about the little things of life and about how children are.
My stories appear regularly in the Children's Corner slot in The People's Friend, the famous story magazine*.
I would like to thank Margaret and her team on Children's Corner for all their help and encouragement. Without them, I wouldn't have got this far.
*The People's Friend is a story magazine you can find in UK newsagents every Wednesday, and some time later in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Spain and more .... A taped edition
of The People's Friend is also produced by the Talking Newspaper
Association so that people who cannot see well enough to read can still enjoy the lovely stories. Find out more from http://www.tnauk.org.uk.

By happy chance, I discovered TuxPaint, a children's painting program, and have used it to create the artwork here. It is TuxPaint that has made this website possible.
So this is a very sincere 'Thank you' to Bill Kendrick and his team for producing such a marvellous program (and for answering my questions).

And now try something different:
http://visitsidmouth.co.uk Sidmouth, in East Devon, is a seaside town on the 'Jurassic Coast', recently designated a World Heritage Site.
Of course you'll take a camera on your travels, and then you will need to edit your photographs:
www.irfanview.com IrfanView is the only graphic viewer that I can understand. (And it's free!) Why not give it a go?
I hope you enjoyed the stories.
